As a Landlord you have a legal obligation to make sure that your property is safe and that the relevant safety checks have been carried out, if missed it could result in hefty fines for you. You will no doubt be aware of your obligations to have the gas appliances checked every 12 months by a gas safe registered engineer, that your electrics must be checked every 5 years and that the property must have an energy performance assessment carried out every 10 years but remembering when they are due can easily be missed.
