Lets with pets?

Accepting a pet doesn't have to mean disaster! There is always someone with a horror story but for every problematic pet there are many more that do not cause damage, but sadly we never hear about those....

Since lockdown the number of people with pets has increased, these pets have become an integral part of the family unit. We have found that allowing pets can give Tenants stability meaning longer tenancies which is better for all involved.

Regular inspections of the property are extremely important, even more so when there is a pet in residence, they are essential to check that there is no damage. It is also good practice to make sure that proper pet consent agreements are in place ensuring that issues must be addressed by the tenants as soon as they arise and that consent for the pet to remain at the property can be withdrawn at any time should the pet become a nuisance.

At Love Property we look after many tenancies where pets are in situ. The houses are regularly inspected to confirm that they are not causing any issues and we are delighted to say that it is a very rare occurrence.

We would recommend to Landlords that instead of a blanket no pets policy, why not look at each case individually, you could be missing out on a great long term tenant!

Don't just take our word for it, here are just a few of our furry tenants who live quite happily alongside their humans!
