After leaving school I trained as a financial advisor Working for two big corporate banks.. I later experienced my first taste of estate agency working part-time for a large agency on the south coast when my daughters were little. 10 years ago I followed my family roots and returned to the North East where I worked as an Independent Financial Advisor, specialising in property purchases working with a 7 branch independent estate agency. It was easy to see the huge potential this region has to offer and in 2009 Kelly and I opened Love Property with the aim of being a pioneering estate agency which would change the face of local estate agency. I am keen to embrace new innovation and technology and is passionate about ensuring that Love Property’s photography of properties is second to none. In her spare time Laura enjoys running as well as hiking in the Dales and the Lakes with family.
Laura and I set up Love Property in 2009. I already had several years’ experience as an estate agent, having starting my career doing work experience for Hoppers, an estate agent in Leyburn. I was then offered a job afterwards aged just 17. In 2005, I was a finalist in the Young Estate Agent of the Year Award and a year later became Office Manager. I am hugely passionate about the property market and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I took some time out following the birth of my son in November 2014, but soon returned to work. My expertise lies in running the operational side of the business, negotiating sales and progressing sales. When I am not at work you will find me at home spending time with my husband and son, as well as keeping fit when I can.
I’m Sal, Head of Lettings for Love Property. I’ve been with Love Property for nearly 3 years but have been in the industry for 28 years. I started my career in sales but moved over to lettings as I found it much more rewarding. I love maintaining that relationship that develops between yourself, a Landlord and Tenant and get immense job satisfaction from the problem solving that undoubtedly comes at some stage. Every day offers a different challenge and legislation is constantly changing which keeps me on my toes! When I’m not working, I like spending time with my husband where possible (he is in the military so that’s not very often)! I have two dogs, Boris & Bertie who I enjoy walking with and have just discovered running (although its more like a shuffle). I was born and bred in the midlands (yes there is such a thing, not just North and South) but have been lucky with my husbands job to have worked in both the gloriously South and the wonderous North which I now call home.
